Morning, everyone. [You are greeted by a groggy and somewhat displeased Red. The black-haired one, not the one that arrived yesterday.
Sans Pikachu, surprisingly.]
So, did anyone else nearly trip over one of these on their way out this morning? [At "these", he holds up a... trick-or-treating bucket?]

... Even those he's seen that have Pokémon too. Hmph. Weirdo lookalikes, one of them probably hails from the parallel and balancing world of the other.
But candy. Ah, candy. Yes. He's got his own bucket in his lap, and there may be chocolate smudges on his face but he hasn't noticed it yet. He sees your displeased expression, Red. He sees it. And:]
If you don't want your candy, I would be happy to take it from you.

He was almost worried that that was a 'No, you can't have any' but all is well. Considering Lucas was planning on going around and
stealingexhorting the candy himself. Through less than peaceful means.]A wise decision. If you hear of anyone else that doesn't want their candy, I would be more than pleased to go around collecting it every morning, afternoon, and evening. [Oh, right. Ahem. Let him lay back, wipe his face off, and return. He's in a good mood.] My name is Lucas.
visual
Nice to meet you, Lucas. My name's Red.
visual
[That guy was too talkative for his own hammy tastes. Hmph.]
Are they strong?
visual
[The question catches him slightly off-guard for a moment.] Well... I guess? We train a lot, but I don't exactly think about it much. It's not exactly all that important to me as long as they're happy, you know?
[Says the guy who played hermit on a mountain for three years because he couldn't find a challenging opponent.]

There's a subtle darkening to Red's expression at those words. He doesn't retort--he doesn't think it's worth it--but his tone seems oddly clipped when he speaks again.]
And if I am?
visual
... Except he was, but he's very stubborn in his beliefs. And a hypocrite. It's a 'I don't want to be wrong' thing.]
Then I want to challenge you, of course. I want to see how strong someone who disappeared after he became Champion really is.
[This kid hasn't even hit his last badge and he already acts as if the world owes him. Which it does in his mind, seeing that he saved it from being torn apart.]
visual; threadjack~
((Excuse him, but Green will be interjecting now, scowling.))
Red's not that great. If you're so obsessed with strength, battle me. I haven't run away from Gym Leader yet, after all.
visual
Accepted. I'll use Red and I's battle as a warm-up, if he accepts my challenge, and I'll get serious with you.

But if that is how it is. Green was the guy's name? Okay.]
Very well. But make sure you use that time wisely to prepare for our match. [BUT NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PERSON. Excuse him. Hi Green.] Green, was it? Since you're a Gym Leader, I'll follow your rules. When and where?
visual
Lucas, is it? I'll smell ya later.
visual
That's alright by me. You can spend the rest of your night wallowing in self-pity after a crushing defeat. Oh, and bring a bucket of candy. I'd like something to snack on when I'm winning.
[Snooty little brat.]

[Because of the money thing.
It SOUNDED BETTER IN HIS HEAD.]

Shaking in his boots.
Wow.]
That won't take long when we battle.
