[No funny hairdos here- not out of the unusual, anyway. The visual opens up with Red looking off briefly, but then his attention's on the gem and he's lifting up a hand in welcome.]

What's up, everyone? 'Sploring this place's been fun. You know, even if with the ghosts and all. Keeps you on your toes, haha. [But he pauses the amusement.] Nobody's been hurt though, right?

Gotta admit, some of it's been spooking me. They're good at what they do! But I've been worrying about something else. Not all of us hang around in Idol Springs, but this thing showed up ages ago, back when the pumpkins came? It's- well.

[The visual shifts, and now instead of one brown-haired boy is a completely oversized pumpkin. Creepy feels coming off over the gemstone may or may not been included.]

It's a pumpkin. Too. 'Cept- there's something weird about it. Not just its size, just. Something else? I can't tell you what, but even my snorlax's not been wanting to go near it. Or, he's not tried to; not that he doesn't know not to eat just anything, but.  [Eh.] I've been seeing funny stuff around it too... couldn't find anything, though.

[The visual focuses a while longer on the pumpkin before Red turns it back to him, giving a 'oh well i don't know' face.]

Has anyone else seen anything like it anywhere else? I've been keeping an eye out and haven't, but you never know.

Well, I think I had some other stuff to say, but I've probably kept you all long enough. [He tilts his head, then smiles.] See ya.

In that case, welcome to Avalar. I'm Red. I haven't been here that long either- nearly a month now? Probably that.

You been settling in okay?

Yeah. I haven't got a chance to explore, but I've been okay.

Well, plenty of time to do that! What sort of things do you like? Maybe there's a good realm I know about.

Well, I train a lot. I like playing video games. I like to eat. And I love hot springs.

Hahaha, that's a few likes. Hmm. I haven't seen any hot springs around here, and I'm not the best judge on the food - I get most of mine wherever I can. There's one place that always looks like it's having a party though, whenever I visit. You like the heat?

[Pit fronws on the lack of hot springs, but perks up at the last sentence.]

Just as long as it isn't too hot. [It reminds him of Pheonix Mountain. Not a pleasant experience.]

Maybe not there, then? There's pretty much lava everywhere. [Whoops.] But there's more places to check out, so no problem. You said you like training? What do you do? Are you a pokémon trainer?

No, I'm a fighter actually. I'm the captain of Lady Palutena's army!

Captain of Lady Palutena's army? [Hah?] Sounds serious. Have you met a guy called Enzan 'round here? He's a warlord type. Maybe you and him could have an interesting conversation about stuff.

Yeah. He's one of the first people I met when I came here. [a beat.] I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah, I don't know if we have any fighter types here -- but if you find a game console, let me know. I haven't played a video game in years!

I'll be sure to do that! Maybe we could play together sometime!

Sure. What's your type? You seem like the RPG kinda guy.

Well, I'm pretty flexible when it comes to video games, but it's mostly RPGs and fighting games.

I was into puzzles games. Couldn't see myself playing an RPG now, though.

But a fighting game would be fun. Those were always better with two people.

Puzzle games, huh? Those sound fun.

You've never played a puzzle game? No Dr. Meerio, Moloson's Door or Moshi?

[Totally not Dr. Mario, Solomon's Key, or Yoshi.]

You mean Dr. Mario, Solomon's Key, and Yoshi? Yeah, I've played those.

Isn't it 'door'? Hm, it's been a few years since I've played them.

Anyway, I'm gettin' distracted! I know there's going to be a party soon at Idol Springs. They've started putting up posters for it everywhere. You should come to it! I could show you around.
