2nd Flight | Accidental Visual

[The feed clicks on to see Pit reading a book, or at least trying to read it. After a few minutes, he looks to see that the orb is on.]

Hey there. Looks like I left the orb on. To those who don't know me, My name's Pit, servant of the goddess Palutena.

[He then goes back to reading his book, but after a few moments he gives up with a frustrated sigh.]

Okay, since I'm not making any progress on my own, I'll just swallow my pride and ask. Could a kind, patient soul out there possibly find it in their hearts to teach this poor angel how to read? [All said with the best puppy dog eyes he can make.] Okay go ahead with the illiterate angel jokes.

Well then we can start right now, I guess. Where are you?

At my home in Glimmer.

I'm at Idol Springs. I'll be right there. [And he'll use the orb's teleport function to transport himself to Glimmer. Luckily he's teleported in front of Enizen's house. He knocks on the door.]

[At the sound of the knock, Enzan goes to answer it, all three of his Pokemon following him.]

That was fast.

Turns out these orbs have a teleport function. [He walks in the house and looks around.] Nice place you got here.

Thank you.

[He leads Pit further in and to the table that was inside.]

[Pit walks into the house and sits down at the table.]

So, how do we get started?

We have to start with letters before moving on to actual words.

[Enzan rifles around for anything they could use as a pen, and looks for paper.]

Well, if it helps, I already know the alphabet.

Ah. If you know the alphabet, then I suppose we can start with some simple words.

[He comes back with the supplies he needed and wrote down 'eye', 'hand', and 'foot.']

[Pit takes the papers and glances at them with a puzzled expression.]

What am I supposed to do with these?

I'm going to say them and you repeat after me. Once you've gotten these words down and what they refer to, we move on from there.

Okay. Fire away!

All right.

[Enzan reads off the words, pausing in between each word so that Pit could say them.]

[And Pit repeats the words in kind and does quite well.]

[Enzan continues this trend with Pit, adding new words over time.]

[And Pit continues to repeat each word.]

[Wait. Pit...can't read?]

....huh? Don't tell me you've been blindly playing game this whole time!?

[...it's too bad that's his immediate concern.]

Well, Lady Palutena's been teaching me back home, but there's not enough time when you're saving the world and all.

Heh, then not time better than the present! So is anyone helping you on that? What are you trying to read anyway?

Enzan's been helping me with my reading. And I'm just trying to read a book, nothing real fancy.

Enzan... that cool Pokemon Lord guy, right? He seemed pretty nice. Hey, if you wanna try reading something different I could probably loan you my comics! They're kinda scrunched up, but the pages are still legible!

Really? That'd be great!

Oh hey, I almost forgot I packed some magazines on Pokémon too. Do ya want me to bring those over? I can part with these if you want? They're in better condition than the comics anyway.

Are you sure? I really appreciate how nice you've been, but I don't wanna trouble you.

If I weren't I wouldn't be offering! Besides... I already read them. It felt kinda waste to just chuck them out after, so I kept it around.

No prob! Do ya want me to drop by now, or hand them over to ya later?

Hmm... Whenever you're not busy.

I'm not busy now! Just tell me where you're at, and I'll come down and meet ya.

I'm at Glimmer right now, exploring the city.

'Kay! I'll be there in a sec, Pit!

[A few moments later, Gold will arrive with his bag slung over his shoulder. He's looking around for a bit, before taking note of Pit and waving as he runs over to him.]

Pit! Hey!

[Pit spots Gold and walks toward him, waving in return.]

Hey, Gold! Thanks for the comics.

Heh, don't mention it! Hold on lemme get 'em real quick.

[He takes a moment to lower his bag, as he yanks them out. As promised they're a little on the scrunched side, but otherwise still viewable.]

Here ya go! These are my favorite, even if they've been roughed up in places. Oh and here's the magazines too. They're mostly on weird Pokémon sightings, it's pretty neat!

[He'll pull those out too, and it's very clear compared to the comics they're much newer.]

[And Pit takes the comics and magazines and glances over them a bit.]

Wow, these are really cool.

Aren't they? The comics were pretty short but it's about a couple of pokémon who team up and make a Team to help out other pokémon! It's my favorite growing up, that's why I took it along with me.

Neat! Well, thanks again for the comics. I'm gonna go home and read them.

Sure thing! Hey, maybe Enzan can show you how to those too, later!

Okay, bye Gold! [And Pit turns to walk away.]
