[Anyone hanging around the spring area better not be standing too close, least they get splashed on. The individual that falls out of the air and into the water looked like they had been plucked from their world in the middle of a nap… or a drunken coma, as the case may be. They certainly woke up once they hit the water though, coughing and sputtering in utter confusion as they struggled to shore.]

[The person clung to the edge of the spring once he got to it, staring around blearily, as if he didn't really know what he was looking at. Finally, he ran a hand over his face as a green dragonfly fluttered down to hover around his head.]

…if Dojima-san was looking for a new way to wake me up, he sure went overboard…

[Later on, said person appears on the orbs, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He looks really frumpy and slouched over, not to mention completely soaked.]

M-man, and here I was worried about waking up with a hang over. I guess I should have been more worried about random splash downs.

[He pauses for a moment, trying to regain some of his dignity (not that there was much there to begin with).]

Adachi Tohru, Inaba PD. Er… anyone mind filling me in on what's going on here?

That last part about Michael is...confusing, and worrying. Minato thinks a few minutes before remembering why Elizabeth stopped going on dates with him. His eyes widen.] ...Shit.

Izanami said something like that too, that humans just wanted to live in the fog of their own lies... but we proved to her that wasn't the case.

[He paused at Minato's reaction, blinking in surprise.]

Elizabeth was in love with me. To the point she was worried it would distract her from her duties. She knew how I ended up, if...if we assume I'm Michael, or I become him or whatever, she might have left the Velvet Room to try to free me.

[Wait, hold on a sec. Adachi patted his jacket pockets, before finally pulling out a pair of glasses. He unfolded the legs, handing them over.]

Here, put these on. Michael wears glasses; he said he can't see that well.

It's a long story. [And you seem pretty against hearing it right away, so awkward it will have to be.]

Well, my vision's fine... [But he'll reach out and put the glasses on. It couldn't hurt, right?] Well?

[Excuse him while he stares, at a complete loss for words. There was no way this kid could be anyone else; make his hair a lighter blue and put him in a limo uniform, and it was fucking Michael.]

[He takes off the glasses and stares at them, quiet for a few long moments. It's a lot to take in, and he's struggling to process the idea that he could actually be freed. He's...not sure he'd want to, given the implications. What the hell happens to the Great Seal?]

...I don't know how that's possible. I'm- I'm fucking crucified and chained in place over a giant pair of metaphysical doors. I have to be there.

Maybe your attendant loved you more than you thought.

[He reached for his TV glasses back. He couldn't offer any answers; he didn't know Michael's story, or this kid's.]

I don't... Why the hell would she risk that? She could've negated everything my team worked for.

[He lets you just take them back, more troubled by these revelations than he looks. He's gotten a lot better, but he still isn't a very expressive kid.]

I dunno; Michael never really got into his past. I don't think he could, to be honest. Igor would always give him a look when he got too wordy.

He never did seem too interested in telling much... Always left me to figure things out on my own. Don't suppose you signed a contract, too?

[He's still struggling to handle the new information. Maybe a new line of conversation will help.]

[Adachi paused, mulling it over.]

How should I know? The only explanation of that place I ever got was that it was "between dream and reality". Maybe it reflects us somehow.

[Although. It's kind of interesting that you were 'just coasting along' before your journey started, and Minato was content to just drift apathetically through the days before his.] ...I wonder if that's a trend.

I'll bet he wasn't happy about that. I didn't get a whole lot of choice... I signed my contract days before I first visited the Velvet Room, though. Maybe that had something to do with it.
