[Anyone hanging around the spring area better not be standing too close, least they get splashed on. The individual that falls out of the air and into the water looked like they had been plucked from their world in the middle of a nap… or a drunken coma, as the case may be. They certainly woke up once they hit the water though, coughing and sputtering in utter confusion as they struggled to shore.]

[The person clung to the edge of the spring once he got to it, staring around blearily, as if he didn't really know what he was looking at. Finally, he ran a hand over his face as a green dragonfly fluttered down to hover around his head.]

…if Dojima-san was looking for a new way to wake me up, he sure went overboard…

[Later on, said person appears on the orbs, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He looks really frumpy and slouched over, not to mention completely soaked.]

M-man, and here I was worried about waking up with a hang over. I guess I should have been more worried about random splash downs.

[He pauses for a moment, trying to regain some of his dignity (not that there was much there to begin with).]

Adachi Tohru, Inaba PD. Er… anyone mind filling me in on what's going on here?

[He was going to try to get some information, see if that line of work was jumping through TVs and fighting monsters or anything remotely related, but... This just got quite a bit stranger.]

...Who's Michael?

[…it certainly sounded like Michael, even if the hair and eyes weren't quite right. Was it really him…?]

[He takes a moment to check himself, push aside the confusion and distrust. More important things right now. For all he knows it might not even be the same Inaba. He has to test.]

Try me. I'm the kind of Fool who'd believe there were twenty-five hours in a day. [His face is expressionless, so there's no telling quite how serious he's being...]

[Adachi stopped and stared, blinking in surprise. Was this guy Michael or not? He swore he remembered something about an extra hour to the day, but Igor had brought an end to that conversation quickly. After a moment, he shrugged, folding his hands behind his head.]

Eh… it'd take a Magician for something like that to happen.

[Well, that confirms it. After the incident with Seito, it really doesn't matter anymore, but he's disinclined to continue the Arcana puns on the orbternet. At least he doesn't really need to worry about making this private anymore.]

Alright, that's enough punning. You're from Inaba, so...2012? People get brought here from different times, too.

[…he was giving him whiplash like Michael too. After a moment, he let out a sigh.]

Yeah; Golden Week was a few days away.

[He had been trying to get Dojima to take the week off, for Nanako's sake. She… needed it, now that…]

[Yeah, he's interrupting, and even knows that it's probably strange. But that's an important question, and one that he thinks Minato should have some information for.]

I've gotten a little lost again, Minato-kun... can you tell me how to get back to the house? There were a few things I needed so I could help Adachi-san.

[With how strange or easily-distracted Chou could be, he did get lost sometimes. But the way he's holding the orb makes it clear he's in Summer Forest -- somewhere he knows quite well by now. Knowing that they need to be subtle, Chou is trying to mimic them in his own way. Please, please pick up on the hint, Minato...]

[He takes a moment to figure that out. Attendants only help Wild Cards, don't they? He's never heard of anyone else making it to the Velvet Room. So then...does this mean the new arrival is a Wild Card too? It's got to.

He barely moves his head for a nod, and one corner of his mouth flicks upward just slightly. Good job, Chou, you're learning.]

...Right. This is better discussed in private, anyway. [Insert directions, more for Adachi than Chou, but keeping up the charade.] Either of you need me to come find you?

[It took Adachi a moment too. Seriously, what the hell Chou; this is his orby thingy, cool it! When it did dawn on him, he looked back at Minato/Michael/whatever, blinking in mute surprise.]

Oh yeah... could totally use a hand, especially if Mr. Lost here is my only navigator.

He'll head to the newbie lake first. He walks, but walks pretty quickly, hands in his pockets as always. It's worth noting that he's in full SEES gear: uniform, mp3 player and headphones, red armband, and holster with his Evoker visible. This is business, after all - though that doesn't keep his hands out of his pockets.]

[Adachi would have kept up his conversation with Chou, his poor posture relaxed, slouching like he always did. He glanced up when he saw the blue haired kid approach and... geeze, if that wasn't Michael, then he was loosing his mind. What the hell.]

[Orb, check. Guidebook, check. Sanity... well, he lost that awhile ago. Adachi let out a faint snort at his own mental process, reaching to rub at the back of his neck.]

[He nods and starts heading back to the house in Idol Springs.]

Anyone told you the deal with this place yet?

Aside from what Chou's brought up, not much really, though I only got to skim the guidebook before I sent out my message.

Well the good news is time is put on hold back home while we're here. Nothing crazy's going to happen while you're away.

The bad news is crazy things are happening here, instead. Something about magic getting drained and we're here to stop it. Nobody really knows how, though. [Which really kind of sucks. It's a lot of sitting around waiting for something to happen and trying not to get killed by a certain teenage psychopath.] Nothing big has really happened yet. The natives are pretty friendly, they give us jobs and places to live, that kind of thing.

[Adachi let out a breath.]

Oh, well, that's good. Just heard about someone from the Kirijo Group was supposed to be rolling into town; didn't want to leave my partner alone dealing with that.

[...Adachi you and your big mouth.]

But gettin' a job, hunh? So, what... they want us to solve this magic mystery and work? That's askin' a lot...

Kirijo...? [Interest piqued! He was technically an employee, after all.] Who?

You don't have to get a job, but it's practical. Besides, it doesn't hurt to be in their good graces. [Not that that's why Minato's been doing what he's been doing. It's just a happy side-effect.]

Dunno; just got word there was a limo heading down the only road to town; know what I mean?

[He let out a sheepish noise.]

Well, there-- ah, nevermind…

[He glanced behind him, like he expected a folder with his name on it to come flying at his head.]

A limo? Must be someone important. [Could be Mitsuru. He hopes she's doing well. Hell, he hopes the entire team is moving on with their lives, rather than mourning his death.

You'll note a distinct lack of any flying objects, except possibly your dragonfly. Minato's is lazy and resting on his shoulder.]

Yeah, some things don't change. [He's just guessing where that thought was going. Even if Social Links aren't still a thing, the principle is the same: good friends make everything better.]

[Actually the bright green spot nesting all cozy in the detective's mop of hair would be his dragonfly. It let out a faint buzz, before rolling over lazily, not that Adachi noticed.]

[Minato's own fly gives a low buzz in return.]

Yeah. I was a junior at Gekkoukan before I came here. [Nooot getting into the fact he's dead just yet.]

[Adachi let out a laugh, followed by a sigh.]

...man there needs to be more adult Persona users...

[Adults... He thinks of Ikutsuki, stiffens, and twitches.]

We never found a reliable adult who lasted. [Is that a hint of bitterness? Maybe. Then again, most of the team had lost parents and/or had issues with the ones they did have. Is it really any wonder adults are harder to trust?]
